We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new subscription service RTT+.
You can unlock access to ad-free viewing, an extended data history and the ability to download data. We’re working on more and will announce those in due course.
We’re also rolling out our new unified login to provide a single sign on for all of our services. Realtime Trains is the first service to use this new unified login and we will be rolling out to RailMiles before the end of the year.
RTT+ Introductory Pricing
We are offering four different subscription options to RTT+.
You can subscribe to RTT+ for:
- 1 month - £5
- 3 months - £9
- 6 months - £15
- 12 months - £25
You can subscribe on our new subscriptions portal.
We guarantee that we’ll keep prices at this rate until the end of December 2025.
RTT+ Features
Ad-Free
You can now experience RTT for the first time completely free of third party advertising. As part of this we’ve made adjustments to every page to improve the ad-free user experience.
Enhanced data history
RTT has long had an officially supported historical lookup limit of 7 days and we’re pleased to be able to extend this to 3 months for subscription users. This will be extended to 6 months by the end of January 2026.
Data download
Users of the predecessors to RTT, known in the enthusiast community as “Timetables” and “Rail Staging”, may remember that we for some time offered the ability to download data. We’re pleased to say that we’re reintroducing that for our expert users. You can now download data in CSV format (for Excel, etc) from our location search and train service pages in the detailed mode only.
All-day allocation history
At RTT, we’re delighted that with the rollout of train allocation information as open data recently we’ve been able to provide allocation information, and soon Know Your Train, across the remaining train operators that did not previously participate.
Since rolling out Know Your Train nearly 6 years ago, we’ve provided the ability to search for an item of rolling stock. RTT+ subscribers will receive a page showing all allocated services for the rolling stock.
Enhancements for all users
But that’s not all - we’re also adding more for those who don’t want to subscribe to RTT+.
A few weeks ago, we extended the lookup history for all users from 7 to 14 days.
Today, we’re extending that further to one month if you register for free.
For RailMiles users
Existing RailMiles subscribers with at least 3 months remaining on their current subscription on 14 October will be able to claim a free 3 month subscription to RTT+ within My RailMiles from 27th October. If you subscribe in the mean time, it will just be added onto the end of your subscription.
We’ll be rolling out the ability to subscribe for both RailMiles and RTT+ in one bundle soon. We’ll provide more details about those packages when they launch.
We will be in touch with RailMiles users soon about the migration to the Realtime Trains unified login and subscriptions service. For now, just continue to use My RailMiles as normal.
