We’ve today launched an update to RailMiles in preparation for some updates, features and improvements that we are bringing to Realtime Trains, Realtime Tickets and RailMiles.
We will soon be launching a Single Sign On for Realtime Trains, Realtime Tickets and RailMiles to facilitate a number of new features. This update to RailMiles is the first in a series of updates to our entire service - more information around Realtime Trains and Realtime Tickets will arrive in the coming weeks.
Updated Dashboard
We’ve changed the dashboard so functions are more easily accessed including list journeys, subscriptions and your RailMiles public site settings.
Display Names & New Site Titles
We have introduced the concept of Display Names which are used throughout the site. A display name must be unique across all users for now, but we may relax this in the future.
Your display name has been automatically set as a copy of your login username, but you can adjust this at your convenience in your RailMiles site settings. You can also set a site title, so rather than “username’s RailMiles”, you can set anything at your preference.
Your username will remain as is.
Notifying users about duplicate accounts
Some users have multiple accounts with the same email address. With the update to RTT’s new Single Sign On service, every account must have a unique email address. We’ll be contacting users over the coming days who have active accounts with matching email addresses soon.
