We’re delighted to be able to announce today the launch of Realtime Tickets, our new ticket sales portal.
Our team have been working with our friends at TrainSplit on this quietly for the last few months and are excited to be able to show it to you today. Realtime Tickets is designed to try and simplify train ticketing (how many times have you heard that before?!) to an audience familiar with our approach to real-time train information.
We won’t charge you a booking fee if you’re just buying a normal direct ticket from us - ever. If we can find you a saving using split ticket, we will charge you a small ‘share of saving’ fee based on the difference between the split and normal tickets.
As this is RTT, and we like to do things a little bit differently, we’re also launching something that we believe is new to the market: Daytripper. Daytripper is not about finding you the cheapest ticket from A to B, it’s about finding you ideas of places to go. We’ve been working with a travel journalist to compile this list and currently have over 170 destinations.
All you need to do is tell us where you are, what your budget is, and what time you’d like to go. We’ll then search the entire country finding you some ideas of where you could head to. From Inverness to Penzance, Holyhead to Lowestoft, we’ve got ideas of places to go for the entirety of Great Britain.
