Great Western Railway are today joining the operators participating in our Know Your Train service.
They operate train services from Paddington through the Thames Valley onto Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Devon, Cornwall and South Wales. They also operate regional services throughout the area reaching as far as Brighton in the east to Penzance and Pembroke Dock in the west.
Know Your Train is our way of providing more information about the actual train operating than anything else. We will tell you what the train will look like, what facilities you can expect to find onboard and where your coach will be.
We are also adding Island Line train allocations to the service from today following its reopening last week.
Know Your Train is now available on trains services operated by eleven mainline train operators including major intercity, regional and commuter routes, and one heritage railway. It now covers just under half of all mainline passenger train services which operate nearly three fifths of all miles traversed by passenger rail services in the UK.
