I have two updates to announce for RailMiles today.
Train Allocations
Since March, Realtime Trains has featured train allocations from selected train operators. The operators supported as of today are LNER, ScotRail, Caledonian Sleeper, GB Railfreight and Locomotive Services. You can see the latest list of supported train operators at any time by going to the Know Your Train information page on the Realtime Trains site.
Train Allocations are now automatically inserted when you add a journey online into the Traction boxes when they’re available. If you add your journeys via text message, then these will be added automatically at the same time. If you don’t add the traction at any stage and it is not populated for the journey, and you use our ‘auto update’ feature, then they’ll be automatically added when the auto complete has run after your destination.
We won’t overwrite any data that you’ve already entered when using auto update.
Mileage Engine
We’ve made an update to the mileage engine after a number of requests. The autocompleter when searching for locations will now show the location code, which is what it replaces your text with.
